MATERIAL SELECTION

PVC OR ALUMINIUM?

PVC windows offer excellent insulating properties, easy maintenance and long life at a reasonable price. PVC profiles are 100% recyclable. Modern aluminium windows achieve the parameters of PVC windows and, in addition, offer an attractive design and higher structural strength. They can be used mainly for large glazed areas, but also in houses.

PROFILE SELECTION

BASIC DEPTH

We produce the HESTA PVC windows from profiles with a depth of 76 and 82 mm. For aluminium windows, we offer profile depths of 51, 75 and 90 mm. Greater profile depth means better insulation properties. For more stressed windows with thicker insulating triple glazing, we recommend a profile with a greater basic depth from a static and design point of view.

NUMBER OF CHAMBERS AND GASKETS

More chambers in the profile and more continuous gaskets help to improve the thermal insulation properties. SMART and SMART+
products have 5 chambers and continuous gaskets, HARMONY and HARMONY+ are 6-chamber profiles manufactured with two continuous gaskets and one central gasket.

GLASS SELECTION

CHOICE OF INSULATING GLASS

Glass represents the largest part of the window area, so it is important to choose the right one. For glass, we present the value of the heat transfer coefficient through glass UG similar to UW for windows. We offer a wide range of glass for better thermal or sound insulation, for better protection from the sun, or safety glass and glass designed for fire systems.

HEAT COEFFICIENT

The heat transfer coefficient (UW) expresses the amount of thermal energy in Watts (W) that escapes through 1 m2 of window at a difference in temperature between the outdoor and indoor environment of 1 degree. The lower the UW value, the less energy  escapes and therefore the better the window.

SOUND INSULATION

Roads, railways, airport runways, construction machinery and many other sources of annoying sound endanger your comfort. Prolonged exposure to noise can damage your health. Sleep and concentration disorders, but also problems with blood pressure and cardiac arrhythmias. You can prevent all of this by choosing the right window system.

The HESTA PVC windows have effective sound insulation thanks to the multi-chamber system and the continuous gasket system. Together with insulating glass, they contribute to the improvement of sound insulation properties and
increase your living comfort. All HESTA windows meet the requirements for sound insulation according to DIN 4109.
