Glass is a relatively strong, wear-resistant material. However, it is brittle and breaks into sharp fragments, which can cause injuries. And since it breaks easily, it is just a small obstacle for uninvited guests. However, this weakness of glass is solved by special safety glass produced by various techniques. One of them is hardening - tempering. Other is lamination - gluing. Thanks to safety glass, it is possible to achieve protection of persons against injury or fall, protection of property against burglary and other manifestations of vandalism, but also against natural elements.

sAFETY LAMINATED GLASS
Stratobel

Stratobel's wide range ensures the protection of people and property. It consists of two or more sheets of glass and one or more interlayers (PVB film - film made of polyvinyl butyral), giving the glass strength and flexibility. If the glass shatters, most of the fragments will stick to the PVB film. In addition, the PVB film absorbs up to 99.5% of UV (depending on the thickness of the film), thus eliminating fading and aging of interior equipment and works of art from the effects of sunlight.

The multilayer composition ensures the mechanical strength of the glass. Depending on the respective composition (number of glass panes and interlayers), different levels of safety are guaranteed. Each application has a clearly prescribed glass resistance class to which specific product types correspond. The basic Stratobel 33.2 product, for example, not only corresponds to the complete protection of persons against falling through glazing and accidents, but also protects your property.

TEMPERED
GLASS

Safety glass treated by tempering is referred to as ESG. The abbreviation means 'single-layer safety glass'. It is used to protect against accidents. The tempering process (heating the glass to a high temperature followed by rapid cooling of the surface while the interior remains warm) changes the internal stress and the standard glass (float) acquires new properties: high flexural strength and impact resistance. If it breaks, the glass shatters into small blurred fragments which significantly reduces the likelihood of injury.
